Our passionate, highly qualified educators are supported by an additional educator in each room every day, and we never use casuals from agencies. This allows for exceptional, consistent care, meaningful interactions, and personalised learning experiences. Families are welcomed into a community where children feel celebrated, supported, and empowered to grow every day.

Meet the Team that Makes Little Loftys Feel Like Home

Laureen

Centre Owner / Director

Laureen is the heart behind Little Loftys. With 23 years of experience and a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, she brings a lifelong passion for quality care and connection. A devoted mum of three, she understands firsthand the importance of creating a nurturing, supportive environment where children and families truly feel at home. Fun fact, Laureen is originally from Canada and has proudly called Australia home for the past 25 years.

Mary

Nominated Supervisor | Centre Manager

Mary oversees the day-to-day running of Little Loftys with warmth and wisdom. She first started working with Laureen in 2002. Mary holds a Bachelor of Teaching and is a proud advocate for quality early learning. A grandmother of four, her youngest grandson currently attends Little Loftys. Originally from Scotland, Mary brings a wealth of life experience and care to every child and family she works with. Off the clock, she loves karaoke, especially when it means (playfully) embarrassing her family on a night out.

Elle

Office Administrator

Elle keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She has been part of the Little Loftys family for 14 years, having previously worked at our sister centre where she held a supervisor role before going on maternity leave. With a Diploma in Children’s Services and a love for early learning environments, she supports both families and educators with kindness and efficiency. Elle is a proud mum to her gorgeous daughter, Mia, who also attends the centre. Her favourite pastime? Solving puzzles of every kind!

Chane

Educational Leader

Chane holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Development and an Honours Degree in Learning Support. She brings focus, strength, and encouragement to the Kangaroo Room. A proud mum to her daughter Keigh Leigh, who attends the Preschool Room, Chane balances her professional dedication with her love for family. A fun fact? Chane has a black belt in Taekwondo her dedication and discipline shine through in everything she does.

Kristy

Quality & Compliance Leader

Kristy brings nearly 30 years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Bachelor of Education. A proud mum of three sons, she has worked alongside Laureen for almost 20 years, building a strong foundation of trust and collaboration. In her role at Little Loftys, Kristy ensures our centre consistently delivers the highest standards of care and education. A fun fact about Kristy: she’s been playing netball for over 40 years!

Natalie

School Readiness Co-ordinator

Nat brings passion, warmth, and a calm presence to the Emu Room. With about 30 years of experience in early childhood education and a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, she’s deeply committed to creating nurturing, engaging experiences for our young learners. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her doing yoga or enjoying time by the ocean.
